Hello!
Up to now I've played with WHDLoad using my A1200 and a Blizzard 1260. Everything works as should.
Now I'm testing an A3000 with a 68040 25mhz CPU. Many WHDLoad games stop working during loading, other crash and some doesn't work properly or slow down.
Could the cause be the 68040 CPU? Did you ever experienced issue with this processor and WHDLoad? I'd use the A3000 as my main machine instead the A1200 but I wuold also solve this problem.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I have used WHDLoad a lot with an 040, but never on an A3000. Are you sure your accelerator's libraries are installed properly?

My accelerator is an Hardital Power Changer that isn't so good. I think it has not specifical libs (the instructions sheet doesn't speak about a floppy with drivers), however there is a 68040.library inside my Libs drawer.

Some games for example Zool 2 are slow on '040/'60 CPU's, i'ts nothing we can do about it
We recently had this topic on English Amiga Baord, it seems the guys who made the whdload slaves used '030 CPU's or just used emulators

Do you have a Zorro network card? It needs to be turned off (TCP/IP should be offline) before using WHDLoad. NOAUTOVEC, and NOCACHE tooltypes might help too.

No, I haven't.
This is my actual configuration:
A3000 rev.9 (030/16) with PowerChanger 040/25
12MB ram
Catweasel II S-Class
Spectrum RTG 28/24
Kick 3.1 / WB 3.1
External SCSI CD-ROM

I had a similar issue on my 2000 with a 030. As soon as the installed game loaded, it would crash.
I enabled the NOAUTOVEC like Matt_h suggests. Problem went away. There are notes on how to do this at the bottom of the whdLoad support web page (http://www.whdload.de/).
Try the readme that came with whdload as well.

Nothing to do with the slow Chip RAM access from most 040/060 cards (Blizzard, etc.)? The only alternative is to re-write the game to use Fast RAM (where possible).

Yes but all games I'm testing work perfectly with the Blizzard 1260 :-(
