Title: DOSBox Amiga
Post by: Matt_H on June 16, 2003, 05:46:07 PM
Anyone had a chance to play wth this software? I can't seem to get it working. It fails with this error: Exit to error: an unsupported feature. I assume that I'm missing a few required libs, but the documentation doesn't list any requirements whatsoever (Amiga-wise). I'm running 68k, not the MOS version.

Thanks, all. :-)

Hello,
I just got the 68k version along with the suggested test program from:
http://nogfx.free.fr/morphos/

I uncompressed it in RAM:, added the unzipped files for the game, started it and it worked fine.

I'm running a plain vanilla OS3.1 on WinUAE. It did have one issue, for some reason the mouse wouldn't stay within the window. I just checked the readme and there may be a way to fix this.

Plain vanilla OS3.1 on WinUAE is my work setup of course, I would never stoop so low at home...

Uh, did I get this wrong, or did you just say you ran a PC emulator on an Amiga emulator on a PC? ;-)

Aahhhh, the joys of emulation emulation.

Hmmm... so it works on plain 3.1...
Did you use any arguments in the command line? Was the example program in the same directory as DOSBox, or a subdirectory?

As for the mouse, I think the readme mentioned a way to have the program grab the pointer.

Thanks for the help. Time to continue experimenting...

-EDIT- Got it working. It didn't like my 15Bit WB screenmode. 8 and 16 are okay. Interesting bug... Well, at least I now know it's too slow to be usable.
