Hi!
I don't know if this has been covered before but has anyone managed to get Amiga Forever running on Vista Home Premium.
I've just treat myself to a HP laptop and after installing AF6 the machine just froze and I uninstalled AF.
Any ideas, guys?

I haven't personally tried it (I'm waiting on Vista until at least an SP1 release, and probably longer, if I can manage without needing DirectX10.)
One thing I'd say though, is make sure you're at the newest WinUAE version. That's the core of Amiga Forever, and WinUAE most likely has an update newer than what is on your CD.

Hi IIwrath
I've also got AF 2005 which I installed and had the same problem with.
Maybe I should check on the Cloanto site to see if there is an answer.

I don't have any problems at all with Vista both 32bit and 64bit running WinUAE.I have an HP 9235NR laptop and it works great.. PM me here and I'll help you work through the problems.
Some things to check:
1) running the winuae program as administrator (if you access the window file system to store amiga files you'll need to do this)as amiga software writing to files might see it as a violation.
2) can you send me your winUAE settings?
This works beautifully on my machine so please feel free to message me and we'll work on getting this working for you.

Hi!
After going through the usual hair pulling and cursing I have eventually managed to install AF and it is running fine!
After installing AF2005 I updated with the 2006 version and all seems well.
Good to see an Amiga screen on a laptop!!
