hi, i have an amiga 600 with a hard drive and 1 meg of ram expansion.
i have also bought sensible soccer 95/96 and used whdload to install it,
when i try to start the game it tells me there is not enough memory,
what can i do about this? (without buying a 1200)

You can get memory cards that fit into the side slot (PMCIA) I think it is.Either that or boot from floppy?
-
We stock the A600 memory expansions (brand new):

We also have some second user expansion boards for a lower price.

Try booting with no startup-sequence and running WHDLoad from the command line.

thanks, i have no idea how to run it without the start sequence or how to do whdload from the command line, and i already have extra ram.
i need to be able to run the game from the hard drive as it is going to be inside my next arcade machine. (a swos arcade machine)
ideally i would use a 1200 for the machine but i don't have one anymore, and need to keep the budget low. i was hoping to use the 600 as i have inherited 2 and don't mind destroying them in the process.
on that point, can i use an external keyboard with my 600? i need to extend the keyboard cable, i am sure i can do it but it would be easier to just plug in another.

Hold down both mouse buttons on boot, and select "Boot without startup-sequence". Then use the CD command to get to the directory where WHDLoad installed SWOS. Type DIR and you will see a file ending ".slave". Then type "whdload .slave" and it should run the game.

Disable or delete the "PRELOAD" tooltype in the icon'game
should work
bye

N.B. Disable can be achieved by putting brackets around the tooltype in the Icon Information window, that way you can get the option back by removing the brackets, and you don't have to worry about forgetting what it was.
