Hi!,
Has anyone got the time to do a review of the current Amiga scene in 2007?
I only ask as a returnee, as I would like to know the current state of play within the whole community i.e. just how 'alive' is the Amiga and what the future may hold?

.
And that's all a think....What you don't see it ?
It's that dark spot a few rows up, that's a summary
of Amiga Inc's efforts and what they have done for us of
importance since you left us.

Alot of bitter feelings toward Amiga inc as a whole.
As far as the "community" is concerned just look on this forum. There are many many hundreds of Amiga users that refuse to let go, myself included.
The Amiga is by far the most loved and most used old computer platform around.
You cant even give away an old Mac, 486 or even a Pentium but the Amiga still sells for a decent price and it doesn't even seem to matter what shape its in.

The Amiga Community is strong. We fight like brothers and sisters. Our parents left us to live on our own many years ago. We hate our step-parents but we love each other.

I am convinced our step parents are attempting to kill us!
Amiga is kicking as a great hobby platform. Lot of classic installs and even some new software from time to time.
New options are out there.. Morph OS.. the mythic OS4 does exist but has not hardware.... Emulators like UAE are very popular. Aros is gaining momentum. Amigthon was a glimer of fresh air..... (but was killed by amiga inc) There are still some very clever coders lurking out there... You can have fun you can be bitter..... It's sorrta like the greatful Dead scene.
