Hello all Amigans
I am trying to register to OS 4.0 on hyperion website
As I logged in and get my new password I don't know why
after typing the serial number or so that, they say is invalid.I have the doubt of typing "O" as a number or as a letter you know what I mean ?
That's the position I reached to at now
Has anyone similar experiences to me when registering from Hyperion?
How can I make the step and the next ?

I have the same problem but with registering heretic 2. I contacted them about it, but I guess they aint to bothered with people registering there products these days.
-
Have you tried e-mailing Hyperion at contact e-mail addresses on their website?
Regards
Rich

Yes I tried it.Have to check my e-mail page on mixmail.
I forgot previously that the serial number belongs to backside of the OS 4.0 developer-prerelease cover.
Does this help to register?
cheers

Try asking the same question at amigaworld.net

Maybe but several times I've tried to login and the password is not accepted so you must know that my primary source to get information is this web at the moment
Ah! And I get no response trying to contact to Hyperion's webmaster.
Tell me please some tips (I know maybe will be not easy)
Anyone registered to OS 4.0 Final?

@Ivanhoe
The serial number you need is inside the cardboard jacket that came with the official pre-release CD. Just flip the cover open. Serial number is printed on a sticker above the Installation Instructions.
A few suggestions, since I don't know your situation.
If you are the original owner, and you registered OS4 pre-release in the past, you do not have to register OS4 Final separately. It is an update of the pre-release, so it is already registered.
If you purchased the machine from someone else, they may still be the registered owner of the software. Here are some instructions from Rogue (Hans-Jorg Frieden) on how to transfer the ownership of the software.

Many, many thanks to you redfox !!!
Maybe the owner of my Amiga OS 4.0 pre-release is Amiga
Super Bit SPAIN where I bought my A1 years before.
Very very helpful really as I don't think of this part, yes
and Hyperion may know the original owner of the Amiga One.
Hope to post when I am ready to obtain my guaranteed (so I think)
version of OS 4.0 Final.
Yeah Thank You Very Much and good luck with your machine
whatever is A1 or classic.I am really grateful to you.
P.D:Forgot to say that the only number I see is on the back
of the cover behind an image of the boing ball.
Did you mention this number on your post?

@Ivanhoe
You are very welcome. Good luck to you. My machine is a MicroA1 and I am very pleased with it so far. I also have an A2000HD classic.
Some more info about the serial number ...
The cover for my CD looks like a little book with no pages inside.
When the book is closed, it has a large boing ball on front and back. On the front it says AMIGA OS 4.0 Developer Pre-release. On the back there is some copyright and trademark info.
When the book is open, the left side says "Developer Pre-release". Below that is the white sticker with the serial number and below that are the Installation Instructions. The CD is on the right side, held in place by two flaps. The CD has boing ball colours and says AMIGA OS 4.0 Developer Pre-release. There is also some copyright and trademark info.
The serial number is a combination of numbers and letters, divided into three sequences separated by dashes.
