Looking at the latest OS 4.0 screenshots, the reaction windows look good, but the MUI windows look crap side by side... Are the MUI guys planning on making MUI for AmigaOS look as good as Reaction? Or MUI for MorphOS even.. I'm tempted to learn Reaction for my little programs, just so they look cool on OS 4.0.

Well MUI can already have different scrollbars and sliders, etc. I bet whoever took that screenshot you mentioned just didnt have the patience to set up his default MUI look. C'mon, it only takes 30 minutes tops. I've spent more time than that just looking out the window. ( no i'm not retarded ;) )

What?! Learn anyway! *thump* :) No really, both have their advantages and besides, Reaction is the default GUI implementation so why not?
Or you could just go with plain old gadtools.library. >:) Or hey, intuition only! >>:)

You're exactly right. What they need to do is lighten the MUI backgrounds and add white to the various text fields for contrast. As it stands now, the design looks "muddy" and uninteresting.
Without contrast the eye quickly becomes "bored." The GUI is too important for them to make this mistake.
