Hi
Ive just got back into the Amiga scene after a gap of 5 years. Ive bought an Amiga 4000 030 and a DCE flicker magic. Now with everything connected I dont get a picture on my monitor (IBM P96).
Has anyone got some instructions as to connecting the flicker magic as the instructions ive got have no picture and i think ive connected it properly following them, i dont have an appropiate monitor to test the computer either. When i press the caps lock button the light goes on/off and thats how far i can get. The screen is just blank, im hoping i havent got a dead board.
Specs
Amiga 4000 rev B with superbuster 11, 3.1 roms, flicker magic, cdrw, hard drive, floppy, 16mb fast ram, a3630 cpu card.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Some monitors wont work with the scandoubler. For example my 15 inch TFT wont show any picture from the DCE scandoubler, but my 23" TFT shows one (although a very ugly image).

have a look at the pics on this THREAD (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=24714) to make sure u installed it correctly...
also u will need a monitor to display 50hz to get a pal picture from the sd/ff... some tft's can't do 50hz... 99% of crt monitors will work though!
also try to make the A4000 to use NTSC mode, which will make the flickermagic output a 60hz signal that is OK with all tft's...
there is a jumper on the A4000 mobo called PAL/NTSC

I have installed the flicker magic correctly so its not that. My monitor is a crt and displays upto 80hz so i guess i may have a dead mobo cos i no the flicker magic works ok. Would the caps lock light still work if the mobo was dead tho?

try press caps lock for more than 10 times... if it still works (ie the light goes on and off and does not stuck) it is some good news~!

It lights on/off 6 times and thats it!
