Have recently started to concentrate on optimizations on my Amiga's instead of just beefing them up with cool hardware or playing games on them.
My new "quest" is filesystem optimizations, but I've discovered that when I change maxtransfer and mask settings in hdtoolbox (OS3.9 BB2) they aren't saved :getmad:
When I relaunch hdtoolbox my old crappy settings are still there
The system I have this problem on is an A1200T with a Blizzard PPC with SCSI attached to two 4.3gig SCSI hd's and a SCSI cd burner running OS3.9 boingbag 2
My system partition has SFS and the rest are PFS3

Press Enter after you've changed each setting. This solved it for me!

You're welcome!
I had this when entering device names in Fusion for example; drove me nuts!
