Just curious. If I were to have a machine dedicated to be an Amiga emulator, and I never needed to fool around in Windows itself, but to just host the emulator, how would I have it autostart all the way into WinUAE on powerup?
I was thinking I could put the WinUAE exe file into the startup drawer in a Win9x/NT/2k/XP on the start bar, and it would autostart the program.
However, wouldn't this just stop on the configuration GUI? I was curious if there was a way to autostart and force the program to load a config and just go from there.
That way, I could boot up the machine (have some custom splash for the windows side that said Amiga-something), then it would autostart WinUAE and I'd see the Amiga side, all with no interference.
Anyone done this?
:-? :-o :-D :-o

Oh, and I do know of Amithlon and AROS. I don't have access to Amithlon (pretty expensive) and AROS isn't quite there...yet.

If you load it with the option "-config=configfile" then it should do it.

You must also disable the "Show GUI on startup" option on the Misc page.
Note: do not disable "Show GUI on startup" on the default.uae file, you will never again see the config window.
Bye,
Thomas

Thanks everybody! I think I will have a dedicated x86 Amiga now.
