Title: Can anyone recommend a 'net browser?
Post by: reddwarfer on March 19, 2007, 07:16:34 PM
Hi
Just started out on the Internet on my A1200, currently using an old version of Voyager which is only a time limit demo
Which browser is most advanced in protocals it supports, i.e. which would be best to use?
Cheers
Kev

Check out AWeb: http://aweb.sunsite.dk/

Free and open source.

Or IBrowse: http://www.ibrowse-dev.net/

Not free but the most up to date browser.

Ibrowse is the best browser for A-OS 3x, if your looking for a free browser then I guess AWeb is the best one... (and the only one)

I personnaly use the most an old free version of IBrowse 1.2 available on an Aminet CD.
Faster and more compatible with the sites i am used to see than the current version of AWeb or Voyager.
I guess current version of Ibrowse should be at least as good.

the new ibrows is the best you are gonna get on the amiga. The want like $80 but you can run it for free fro 20 minutes at a time.  Firefox is great but you need linux. Firefox is free.  Maybe os5 will have a moderns browser, but I doubt it.

Ibrowse is still the fastest browser for classic Amiga's

And the new version 2.4 is even faster than 2.3
