Just posting this in case it's any use to anyone.
The fan on my CyberStorm PPC was exhibiting the "hum of death" noises, so I decided to look for a new one.
Took a trip down my local PC World, and saw they sold a chipset cooling kit by StarTech, £6.99. I couldn't find any loose 30mm fans, so I got this kit, which includes:

(plus some sticky pads for the heatsinks)
It turns out that the smaller heatsink fits on the SCSI chip perfectly! Fan is an Evercool model and is pleasantly quiet; the only model I could find online after 5 minutes of searching. The leftovers will go in my spares box, but for what it's worth, it fits my CyberStorm quite well:

The larger chipset heatsink is just slapped on the 060 for the hell of it; I know it's not very suitable but if anyone has any tips as to where to find a better fitting one, please tell! :)
Hope this helps anyone looking for CyberStorm cooling bits.

Hi :-)
For 68060 and 040 too heatsinks look for Pentium 4 heatsinks, fits perfectly especially those that are totaly flat at the bottom. :-)

I have replaced the ppc fans with new 12v ones because they are more effective than the stock 5v ones... more noise but safer! and the 5v one is relocated on the 060...
Amigaz also uses 12v fans on ppc chips.... too risky to use a weak fan on a crammed A4000D....
here is my 200mhz csppc...

Lucky. I need a solution for my BPPC card. The fan is totally dead. Do you think I can use a stock fan/heatsync off of a PowerPC mac? Nice find tho! I love it when I can find bits like that to fix up my Amiga stuff.

Yeah, better replace those PPC fans, folks
Mine just started spinning slower one hot summer and I got lots of PPC related lockups
I replaced the dying fan with a 12v one and now recently I replaced it with a nice looking white Cooltec 12V fan and put some new heatsink paste because the old one had dried up completely :-o

hmm..I saw the blue hs and I knew straight away whose CSPPC it was :-D

Yeah :-)
The new fan I have is a 12V one and connects to a spare HDD power connector.
While I was at it, I disassembled the power supply and removed all the dust with canned air. The fan there was also dying so I added a new ball bearing one.
I soldered a short wire with a standard 3pin fan connector onto the PSU's board, so now new fans can easily be swapped in. :-)
Now my system's whisper quiet and a little cooler.

Useful thread thanks d0pefish :-)

Ahahahah. I just think the same.
No offense, Keropi.

BTW, I putted heatsinks in (almost) all custom chips in my Miggy,
for the very same reason.
Look for "Geforce Heatsink plus Fan Kit". They come with eight small hs with 3M glue pads, plus one big copper hs with fan (who rests in my Geforce4 board).
The heatsinks for the CPUs can come from dead peecee MB. I put a northbrige hs in my 030/56 Mhz (sic), a southbridge hs (you can put a jigsawed northbridge, too)lies over the FPU.
And an "external" notebook fan lies besides the acelerator, cooling CPUs and the 128Mb SIMM. No more photos yet.

LOL
my avatar is the bad guy from ID's "Catacomb Abyss" ....

I too have put those little blue HS everywhere, they come from TITAN's VGA Cooling kit... there is also a blu HS under the csppc, on the pci chip there...

Hmmm - do you chaps think these heatsinks might help with the recalcitrant Apollo 1230 Mk III (40MHz o/c) thats been playing me up since I got it ?
