Well I've not been paying alot of attention lately on whats been happening in the amiga scene, but I've been wondering if there has been a progress made on sd card readers for a towered amiga?
I find myself using sd cards more and more theses days on the pc's,cameras, handheld consoles etc. But can we use them on the amiga yet?

They've been available as long as USB has.

thanks piru

I think cf driver reads them fine as long as you have a proper adapter. I remember trying sd/xd cards and even sony memory stick which worked fine. But I didn't do a through testing. Just read/write some stuff.
an adapter suggession :

of course this only works with pcmcia capable amigas (A600, A1200)

All you would need is:

and a Spider USB or Subway USB (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=137) adapter

I'm guessing not registering the product is'nt going to cause any real problems or is it?
edit
I just found the authors site to some information, so im guessing the subway works just as good as the spider?

If you had a Spider you will need to register Poseidon as it would be too limiting otherwise.
However the Subway comes with Poseidon, it is a great product but not as fast as Spider:

on my 4000D's , I use a kickflash+subway combo and on the other an AlgorPro card.... they work GREAT and give about 700 and 850 kb/sec on 060/50 csppc's ... both are coupled with 7 IN 1 USB CARD READER (3.5" BAY) , just like amigakit.com says... works a treat!
