I'm considering buying a mediator for my 1200 tower project. It's not clear what additional software I might need. Does the Mediator come with RTG software like CyberGFX?
Also, what is the minimum type of accelerator I should be using with the mediator. I have a Blizzard IV 030@50mhz with 16MB. Is this going to work or do I need something more powerful?
Thx,
Bubba

To use the Mediator an accelerator isn't really required, but if you want to add some hardware like a GFX-card or networkcard, a little extra speed might come in handy.
Your Blizzard will do just fine, but if you want raw speed you can always look for a 68060 card (or a BlizzardPPC) of course.

All the software you need comes with the Mediator. The Mediator is compatible with 030, 040 or 060, but I would recommend at least an 040 to get the best out of it.

The Mediator uses the Picasso96 RTG system which isn't included...Elbox only provides some hacked P96 drivers

Oh yeah oops. If you've got OS3.9 then you've already got P96.

The OFFICIAL hardware requirements are:
Amiga 1200 in tower case with a 4MB RAM expansion card.
The recommended configuration is: Amiga 1200 in the E/BOX tower case, any 68060 (or PPC with 68060) turbo card with 64MB RAM, a SharkPPC G3/G4 card with 256MB SDRAM, a Voodoo4 graphic card.
-
Note there is NO NEED to have any kind of acelerator in the Amiga, only 4 Mb Fast RAM.

I am also interested in the Mediator for my A1200T.
Can you run any resolution on the Voodoo3 in WB? I see it supports up to 2046*1536 at 75Hz. But could you run 32bit 1920x1200 or 32 bit 1600x1200?
Do you think I can hack a cable together and use my Eyetech Bmon with the Voodoo card?
