Post by: leongt on June 10, 2003, 05:32:16 AM
just brought a rockwell 3.5 exturnal floppy drive for my A1200 and after pluging it in the drive light comes on but the amiga will not detect it, and the inturnal drive won't work with it pluged in. :-?

I brought the drive off  ebay and it was advertised as an amiga drive, and it plugs into the amiga floppy port but I don't get enything on startup, I've even tryed it on my son's A500 and the same thing happens.

Sure it's not a Rockport instead of a Rockwell?
Sounds like you got the shaft.  Contact the seller and if they won't resolve the issue make a complaint on eBay so other people know what to expect.

took the case apart and found a mitsumi floppy inside, and changed the cabel around, now it works BUT, every time I turn on the amiga I'm getting four disk icon's that come up on the screen saying DF2, PC2, DF3, and PC3, becouse I have crossdos 7 installed on my HDD, would it do this becouse a PC 720K floppy is inside of the floppy case!
