I know EyeTech does not make them right now, but where can someone get hold of an AmigaOne. Is there any other board that runs AmigaOS 4? Thanks.
I see eBay has none.
And...what is a Micro AmigaOne? Tnx.

There's nothing available first-hand at the moment. That might change when the SAM440 starts shipping.

Since the A1s are having significant failure rates, I doubt your going to find a working A1 any time soon unless it's being EBay'd. Your best option is to buy a nice Intel Dual Core and run Amiga Forever on it.

Does Amiga Forever benefit from dual core?

It is pretty much the same spec motherboard in a Micro ITX form factor (170mm x 170mm).

There is no relation between emulating OS3.9 on PC and using OS4.0 or MorphOS on a real hardware... OS3.9 is dead and outdated (and AfAOS upgrades are just some more patches to an old thing). Stop nostalgism, go ahead.
Sam440 will be a good "low end" hardware for AmigaOS 4.0.

your right there is no relation. you can actually get OS3.9 and pc's...
You said it yourself, stop nostalgism, user OS3.9 when you want to have a laugh running modern day programs, otherwise just boot into games...stop trying to use OS4 as a proper operating system when it clearly has no future whatsoever

Why, if an user actually finds it to be usable as a proper operating system?

I'd like to find a used one - is what I was trying to ask. I see none on eBay. Are there other places to find used ones?
Is the SAM440 a definite thing - officially announced? It will definitely run Amiga OS 4? What are its specs / info? Thanks.

That site looks very professional, I wish AInc would grant these guys a license, they seem to be a very dedicated group of individuals (unlike a lot of companies these days - not just talking Amiga).
The SAM would be a good start, IF it could get licensed to run OS4.

I doubt they will grant a license in the near future. At least not until the legal conflict between Amiga Inc. and Hyperion is solved. I'd like to be wrong on this of course, but we all know how long legal disputes and lawsuits can take.

I am quite confident a new batch of AmigaOnes is on its way. Be patient.

They already arrived. (http://www.amont-info.com/spip.php?article17) :-P
Hey, even "reconditioned" versions *cough* of the infamous AmigaOne G3SE (http://www.amont-info.com/spip.php?breve12) are back in stock now. Get your orders in quickly!

We know how long everything takes with Amiga
