I have a problem trying to get everything on screen in hi res modes. Horizontal is ok but vertical aint, my workbench runs miles off the bottom. Ive tried adjusting picasso but no joy. Im using a 22" philips (202p40 model) crt monitor. Heres the spec:
• Max. resolution 2048 x 1536 @ 80 Hz
• Recommended resolution 1600 x 1200 @ 85 Hz
• Factory preset modes 9 modes:
1024 x 768 @ 75 Hz, 1024 x 768 @ 85 Hz,
1280 x 1024 @ 75 Hz, 1280 x 1024 @ 85 Hz,
1600 x 1200 @ 75 Hz, 1600 x 1200 @ 85 Hz,
1792 x 1344 @ 75 Hz, 1920 x 1440 @ 75 Hz,
1920 x 1440 @ 85 Hz
• Factory preload modes 27 modes
• Video dot rate 360 MHz
• Horizontal scanning frequency 30 - 130 KHz
• Vertical scanning frequency 50 - 160 Hz
When you setup the Voodoo and picasso do you have to select 31khz? If i select something higher would it help or cause me more probs?

I always select the highest..think it's 65khz when I do the "2nd" P96 install when you UPDATE the MONITOR SETTINGS
This UPDATE can be done again if you wanna change your mintor settings in P96
Works on all monitors I've tested so far

Max. resolution 2048 x 1536 @ 80 Hz
A quick calculation gives about 131 kHz - quite impressive.
So you can use the highest you find - less fine tuning needed after that, but stay under 120 kHz to get better picture, less ringing/ghosting.

When i try to run the picasso prog to change settings i get some error. Can i just go to prefs/Env-arc/picaaso96/amiga-video and change the khz setting there? Or is there more to it?
Monitor is fantastic it will display up to 105hz for a nice crisp picture :-D

Ooops... i altered the amiga video file changed it from 31khz to 100khz rebooted had no effect so i got picasso running again and selected 65khz and now i got nothing .... :-(
