Do I need the daighterboard plugged in to be able to boot a 4000D?
I am not sure if I do because I am trying to test my system board which is in a mirage case and can't get enough clearence to plug the daughter board in.
Thanx

One question: is there a processor in the main board?
If the answer is yes, then the answer is no.

@rkauer
I might have explained the wrong board the one I am refering to is the riser board with the Zorro slots in.
-
Yes the A4000 should boot without the daughter board in place.

@ross1
Thanx that's what I thought but wasn't sure, my 4000D is fried then.

Mine never booted without the riser card plugged in. It screened, though I dont remember the color at the moment.

I've booted at least my Pluto system without the daughterboard for some reason.
