Post by: amesie2 on February 26, 2007, 07:29:46 PM
Do I need the daighterboard plugged in to be able to boot a 4000D?

I am not sure if I do because I am trying to test my system board which is in a mirage case and can't get enough clearence to plug the daughter board in.

Thanx

One question: is there a processor in the main board?

If the answer is yes, then the answer is no.

Yes the A4000 should boot without the daughter board in place.

Mine never booted without the riser card plugged in.  It screened, though I dont remember the color at the moment.

I've booted at least my Pluto system without the daughterboard for some reason.
