There is no picture off the front off the computer, showing the cover for the hole which is now created with the internal cdrom.
This is I think importtant for it's value.
-
I will take a picture of this in the morning. Watch this space!

Is this the angle you were looking for? Many of these cdrom mods have been done so that the cdrom comes out the back of the computer. I decided to make the cdrom come out the side of the machine as this is the more ergonomic and allows easier access.

Does the PCMCIA port work with 8Meg installed on your RAM card?
-
I'm tempted by this one, goodluck on selling it :)
-
@ alexh
I suspect the jumpers on the 8MB will need to be changed to restrict it to 4MB to allow PCMCIA to work. Alternatively a more up to date expansion card could be installed such as a blizzard which does not experience this problem.
-
Actually I was looking for a picture from the front.
But I can see with this picture you didn't cover the hole created by the cdrom above the pcmcia port.
But still it is done very nice.
Did you painted the lid off the cdrom white or is this an original color?
Just wanted too see how you did the hack.
I did the same thing myself.

@amiga4001
The cdrom is the original colour - it took some time to find one that matched the amigas colour!
I didnt try to cover the bit of the exposed cdrom as I dont think i could have made it look any better than it does now.
-
Nicely done - I can never get my edges that straight or smooth! The CD-ROM looks like it fits very well.

All that is needed is some very fine sand paper, and a LOT of patience!
