Hey ya
Im new here - I used to own an amiga A600 when they first came out but havent had one for years so I am very rusty but learning quickly.
I have an A600 and an A1200 and a copy of swiv - I cannot get it to run on either machine. Someone suggested Relokick but I have been unable to locate a copy - Would this program enable me to run the game? I used to have it in the old days and it seemed to work - would anyone be able to suggest where i could get a copy if this would work?
Thanks in advance for any help you would be able to give me.

You can use TUDE from Aminet which is free, instead. If the problem is that the game requires ROM 1.3, this program will allow you to softkick a ROM image to memory. Just like ReloKick. But then you will be left with half MB of memory and i don't know if Swiv is ok with it.

SWIV is an OCS game so I guess it would run with 256k. That means you should have enough RAM to softkick 1.3 to get it working. A far better solution though would be to invest in a cheap accelerator with some RAM for your A1200, and a small hard drive, then you could use WHDLoad to install SWIV to hard drive. The WHDLoad installer will fix the game so it will run under 3.x.

oh god now youve started something LOL
I dont know how to make disks that would be readable on the amiga from my pc as i dont have internet access on my amiga - is it possible - sorry for being a noob but im not sure i could do this.
If anyone has a copy of this program they would sell me or relokick then i would be prepared to pay a decent price for it.

There are countless posts on this forum describing how to transfer files from a PC to an Amiga, so have a search. Searching for "crossdos" would be a good start. If you really can't find it then come back and ask again, but it's good manners to search first :-)
There's no need to by TUDE or ReloKick, they're freeware. Once you've got a method of getting them from a PC to an Amiga you'll be on your way.

Please don't apologise I wasn't having a go. I was just letting you know that there's already a lot of information in historical posts which is available by searching. If you can't find the info you need by searching then by all means post asking for help - it's why the forums are here :-D
Welcome to a.org BTW :-)
