:-D

Nice find, always wondered what happened to him
His prior experience includes serving as the President of Commodore International, where he accomplished a major operational turnaround.
Hmmm, that's a novel way of saying 'he drove the company so far into the ground that it resurfaced in Australia'
-
:roflmao:  :roflmao:
Look closely: there are even TWO Mehdi Alis - this time they probably resurface on Mars!
:smack:
-
One to take over each of the two amiga inc.s
-
where he accomplished a major operational turnaround
Oh, man. I just don't have any comment that does this line justice.
And as for the rest of the resume, it could just as easily say...
"I hung around while stuff got done.":-P

:getmad: Grrrr. Stoneridge seems to a bit player in the lucrative "business" of looting companies to death. No surprise that Ali would wind up in such a place.
Pay attention to German Vice-Chancellor Franz Muentefering's comments on "locusts" i.e. hedge funds.
-
Ha..We should all email him..just to say hi..say thanks for NOTHING..that SOB
We should tell him what we all think of him...
He worked for GM..and look at them now the're doing great..yeah right..
He will prob. run that place into the ground and bring his son down with him
-
major operational turnaround
That's market-speak for "ran it into the ground and robbed it blind in the process."
-
Wow..that place is not too far from me..
-
"...His prior experience includes serving as the President of Commodore International, where he accomplished a major operational turnaround...."
Yes yes, that's all very true indeed. The "On The Edge" book however, didn't quite spin the whole situation in quite the same light.
"major operational turnaround." :-) ...A guy with a sense of humor.

We should tell him what we all think of him...
We should tell him "to rescue AmigaInc"

remember when Billy boy Gates got Pied in the face.....mmmmm..
That would be great to see on video..Mehdi Ali ..gettin a face full of pie
a red and white checked pie at that..
Man I hate that guy
-
Isn't he like ancient now?
-
So after all these years he turns up. I thought he was hiding out in the Bahamas, or in jail, or something.
It might be fun to set up a fake company for him to ruin... along with whatever professional credibility he has left.
-
"major operational turnaround" That is an understatement!! He helped kill the company!! LOL
Heh I was just watching The Deathbed Vigil and saw his name on speed bumps, that was funny.
-
Reading that I can't help but think that he was specifically brought in to break up C=. Every position listed there mentions restructuring.
What if he was just doing what he was told? ie. break it up so it can be sold.
Either way, we all lost.
Damn, I just made myself sad :-(
-
There are actually some companies that hire people like that to assassinate the companies they own. I know it's all about conspiracies and stuff, but that kind of stuff happens.

but he was right. wasn't commodore doing reasonably well before he took over? i call that an operations turnaround. marketing speak while hoping nobody digs into his credentials.
-
Well I hope there are RSS feeds on these threads so if anyone googles the *unt they WONT see sugar coated BullSHyte

I don't think he was brought in to break Commodore Up, I think he just found that it was very profitable and enjoyed the process so much he turned it into a career :-)

I think he was someone who didn't understand the computer industry, so decided to set himself up by robbing the company blind and smahing it to peices.
-
Isn't this the guy who a bunch of commodore techs made a doll out of and torched after the drunken night after commodore went under? I remember seeing that on deathbed vigil a while back. Nice site, though. stole the marble background.
-
All the "transactions" are generically listed as "company". They did so well, those companies don't even need names!
-
@Vlabguy1:
I like that idea. Maybe we should setup a fund for this?
-
There's no accident "unfortunate" enough for that b*stard.
-
Hehehehe, true indeed! :-D

Ugh, not too far from you? I went to school there and still drive through it on the way to work.
Probably a rough second to Greenwich as an enclave for money, so it's not really a surprise... but with all the media attention such funds are getting, it would be nice to attract some to these claims.
As to the real fate of CBM, I get the impression that most late management, especially management brought in, just figured it was doomed for not focusing on the growing and lucrative 'IBM'/Windows market and acted 'appropriately.' Since none of the other players left (excluding failing Atari, struggling Apple, and layoff-happy IBM) were very reliant on in-house R&D, CBM was in a rough position no matter what... and Hombre-as-a-GPU could've been the product to make the R&D business profitable, but by then the looting was in full swing.

He is actually involved in at least one more start-up company.

Whose up for some trolling of stone ridge partners?!

This might be illegal, but are there any volunteersnipers around here for hire. Maybe we could come up with a bounty.

I think death by dropping an A4000 on him from a great height (like off of stone ridge partners building) would be proper.
-
Waste of a perfectly good A4000 there @ impactor ...
" death by bunda (http://www.infolanka.com/jokes/messages/1985.html) " would be more appropriate in this instance, me thinks ... anybody know where we can get a rampant wildebeast???
-
I am thinking of sending him a copy of The Deathbed Vigil.
-
Wow, quite the Midas touch there, Mehdi.
Now, don't rush to color me skeptical, but is there a reason
such a financial powerhouse would have a .BIZ domain?
-
Good question.
Both domains were registered by Jim Laird.

The plot thickens...
http://meridianassociates.biz/professional.htm
And it seems .biz domains are the order of the day for company smasher Ali and co.
-
.biz is associated with spammers because they are so cheap to buy in bulk, other than that there is nothing wrong with them (no matter how much SEO-nerds speculate of how much Google punish such domains even if they are WH).

Yes, you're quite right, and also that would be too honourable a death for him!
Death by bunda it is :-D
-
Mehdi’s background includes more than twenty years of operating experience. His prior experience includes serving as the President of Commodore International, where he accomplished a major operational turnaround.
Pah!!!
You all beat me to it :-P
