Title: Cyberstorm Mk2 060/50 Vs A4060 T-REX II 060/50
Post by: Akiko on February 22, 2007, 07:50:01 PM
So I recently got myself another 4000, I'm sure unaware the seller unwittingly advertised it as having a Cyberstorm Mk2, however on closer inspection I found it's actually a T-REX II 060/50.

So at this point should I be delighted or devastated?! :-o

Delighted, if the SCSI is DMA on the T-rex and that the Cyberstorm wasn't suppose to have the CyberSCSI module

I have both and the trex has scsi onboard and is just as good as the cs-II in my opinion.... just go have some fun.

I have both as well.  The GVP is actually faster!!  I also overclocked mine to 66MHz as well.  I ran a memory test and compared against a MKII @ 66Mhz and the GVP came ahead.

After investigation it would appear the Cyberstorm Mk2 can only supports 70ns speeds, while the A4060 makes use of faster 60ns simms.:-)

Thanks for the replies
