Title: A1942 issue
Post by: rkauer on February 18, 2007, 08:07:28 PM
Hi amigans.

I have a sort of issue with my A1942 monitor: "barrel" effect on the screen.

But I don't have the schematics to try fix it. I've changed the mains capacitor (schubby) and works fine till now. The MB have no signal of cap leaks, no problems of hot spots even.

But the monitor runs hot, after 30 minutes on. I think this is natural, however.:madashell:

Is there some trimpot to fix the problem? :-?

Elaborate on `barrel effect` please.

I guess you might check the pincushion pot if there is one inside or out.

The screen is like "barrel" shape. Fatty on top and bottom. Thinner in middle.

Deformed, that's it. :-(
