well, heres the problem.
i have an amiga 500 with an icd ram expansion. (one of the more involved ones. so i think im around 2 or 3mb.)
my workbench 1.3 disk is pretty fubar so the only thing i could find to replace it with was 3.1 so i picked up that and the rom.
installed the rom (of course i have a rev5 mobo so i had to do some soldering. :-( )
wb3.1 works great, no problems.
but now when i try to do the amiga explorer setup the pc gets an error "error reading from com port" after the RX RAM:Setup step. (when it tries to copy over the amiga explorer file.)
i was able to get this to work in 1.3 but since my disk is so messed up i couldnt format disks or anything. and now that i changed the rom i cant boot 1.3 anymore...
ive also tried copying the files onto an msdos disk and i cant for the life of me figure out how to get crossdos to work.
any help would be greatly appreciated. :-)
also if anyone knows where i can score a harddrive for my 500 id be very appreciative.

PC0: (the crossdos floppy device) is on your Storage floppy.

That is normal, put in a PC formatted DD disk and it will read it. DF0: is the amiga disk, PC0: is the PC disk.

when i put the msdos disk in, a PC0 icon should come up on my desktop right?
all im getting is DF0:????

well i never managed to get crossdos to work.
however i found ADF Sender and the little basic program for the amiga side. works awesome (just a little slow of course.)
adf2disk is great too.
too bad shadow of the beast doesnt seem to work with 3.1 roms.
