Title: So I installed PocketUAE on my XV6700
Post by: TheMagicM on February 16, 2007, 04:08:14 PM
Yea I switched from T-Mobile (sucks) to Verizon..decided on getting a XV6700 phone

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/Verizon-XV6700.htm

It runs fine.. I have a directory setup as a HD and am booting into WB 1.3.  Sysinfo shows I'm 2.63 faster then a stock A600.

I've been real busy and havent had a chance to take pics but will do so this weekend.

I have WB 2.x on my linux box and can xfer it over to run whatever anyone is interested in seeing.

THe sound playback isnt great though.. I have a intro to a cracked game from Paradox that I like and the sound plays choppy.

Neat phone.  How much did it cost (and what was the prison sentence)?

I just got a Motorola Q through Sprint... So far I'm happy with the phone, but I'm trying to get used to using directional pad and scroll wheel for most every function (as opposed to a stylus and touchscreen), so it's been a bit of a learning curve for me.

Any tips on running PocketUAE?  The Q has a 312mhz XScale, vs the 416mhz version in your phone... I wonder if it'll handle PocketUAE fine...

I had the Moto Q but took it back because I didnt like the keypad on it.  I just downloaded PocketUAE and ran it..nothing fancy was needed.

Audio has always been a problem for UAE running on sub Ghz machines... I guess it's a serious timing issue!
