I would really like to see some new videos. A nice vid would be having an a1 and a ppc classic running next to each other doing the same tasks so we can gauge speed difference. And if at all it will be usable on classic.
-
hmmm. it's faster than I thought. i saw a video about 1 year ago. and it was pretty fukn fast. but it looks better now.
If only.....
-
That video was from may last year. I wonder how different and faster things are now that it was released in December.
-
fast as vapor :)

Just found this one, seems pretty new. Goes right through bootup and everything! :-D

Wait till the end, I think that's the best bit. Serious A1200 memories! So glad they stuck with the same look. Viva Topaz!

Sorry Matthias, but that was one of the first OS4 videos I saw ages ago.
The upload date on YouTube might be this year, but it's probably a few years old by now.
Still, good to see that vid again :-)
-
Why have no one yet uploaded any videos of the final release yet? These videos are good, but they are sadly years old so they surely wont show the improvements of the current release.
If i had a amigaone+os4, then this would be one of the first things i would do. Such videos are in my opinion the best marketing one could do for free.

Impressive stuff indeed. I'd buy OS4 in a shot if I thought I could get affordable hardware to run it on.
-
@Thomas,
actually, the earliest video posted here on this thread, dates back 8 months ago, I checked. I also managed to find out, that since then, it is much better and faster!
However, Like myself, I am disappointed on how no one, not even a developer has posted a nice new, and fresh copy of the end product of OS4 in working action.
Maybe they are just waiting for hardware? To show it off on the new Sam440ep, or whatever other potential board.
Cheers 8-) 8-)

@Melange:
Maybe very soon my friend, very soon.
At the same time, If Amiga Inc turns around and says no to everything, and is very stubborn and pushes for their OS5, then all this hardwork wasted.
Not only would I find it an insult if they done this, but I think they mat as well pack up shop then, sorry to say, as I think many loyal fans and supporters would see it as not being worth the hassle or wait, as Mac is now relatively ok, and one can always get Linux for PC option!
At the same time, I geuss what I mean to say is(bear with me, its almost 3am here)they would loose a lot of Amigians, and that couldve been avoided just by agreeing to the current possible hardware, boards, etc possibilities, and to then continue working on OS5, while Many EX Users may return with the new systems and OS4!
Im way too tired for this, my eyes are closing over here.
Goodnight, talk tomorow on forums. 8-) 8-)

That's just amazing... and i bet it is not even on the latest hardware either!
