:-) I everyone,i´ve been reading this column,and i am curious,i am about to buy an Apollo 040/25Mhz with 16megs,does this card cause too many problems with the A1200 booting process?
-
I doubt it will cause any problems at all, why should it?
I have an Apollo '060/64MHz with 64Mb and it's just fine. In fact it's better than that, it's great!

According to Big Book of Amiga Hardware (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/apollo1240.html) there's no problem with the PCMCIA slot either. :-)
-
unless you own an A2000,
040 cards are pretty much problem free
-
Are you following the other thread on this card? None of you fellows have posted there, and I'd welcome your suggestions.
Eh? My problems are unusual? Oh well.
-
i have this exact same setup and it's fine. if you're feeling brave you can use some of the utils that mmulib (look on aminet) provides, such as mapping the rom images into fast ram for a noticable speedup.
i have a PCMCIA 4mb ram card and it works 100% fine alongside the apollo providing a total of 20mb fast ram

@dweomer,
If you pop back over to your other thread, I think I may have sussed it!
