I have never actually tried to play the game all the way through with WHDload. Do you know if the current version allows you to complete it? I just had a play on my Laptop in WinUAE and it didn't look real good. Usually I boot that one up in 1.3 on a real Amiga and play on that
However I would love to see a good WHDLoad version.

The current WHDLoad slave has a bug which means you can't summon lifts, which is tied in with a part of the copy protection, I believe. But the good news is Bert is trying to rewrite the slave to fix this, AND have parts of the game utilize fast memory, which should hopefully make it faster and smoother.

If you are interested, I put together a generic WHDLoad patch which allows you to play the demo from the One's coverdisk. Its different to the game in that it is basically 2 parts, a short playable 3D adventure
with no enemies, followed by a select a camera to view the enemy robots - assuming you made it to the control room. If anyone wants it, let me know, and I'll put it on my website.

Hey thanks Angus,

That was it.  I knew something wasn't right about the game the WHDLoad version, but couldn't think what it was.  Now I remember going upstairs to where the Map room is and then not being able to summon the lift to get back down.  End of game.  The save didn't work either AFAIK.

I'm into anything to do with CyberconIII.  Played the one demo many times before buying the game back in the day.
If it's too hard to stick on your website, or if I'm the only interested party, I'll PM you my email addy, coz I'd love a copy of it  :-D

I believe the save is okay, but yes, usually you get away with the lift when you go to the map room level but occasionally that little tow-legged mech type robot will hop in it andmess you up. Elsewhere in the game it becomes a real problem though with robots contiuously using the lifts and leaving you permanetly stranded. Darn those Angel robots!  :-)

Yup, that's fine. pm me your e-mail and I'll send the archive. If anybody else wants to have a look at it just shout.

The save didn't work under WinUAE when I tried it, but it might on a real amiga, haven't tried that yet.
