Title: YACDP and saving CD audio
Post by: Angus on February 13, 2007, 12:00:39 PM
For some years I have been using the excellent YACDP to occasionally grab a bit of CD audio. I sometimes get little bits of guitar playing, then load then into audiomaster where I can slow them down and _try_ to work out how the guitarist is playing them.....

anyway, I recently changed my CD-RW for a DVD-RW, and althought YACDP will play the tracks quite happily, when I try to grab the audio I get an error saying:

ILLEGAL MODE FOR THIS TRACK

Now it maybe me forgetting something, as I remember having some issues with YACDP error messages before, but does anybody know of alternative methods of grabbing CD audio that they would recommend?

Thanks for any help.

Allegro supports RAW ripping of CDDA, you just open the disk icon and drag 'n drop

Takes ages and eats a load of harddrive space though. :-)

Thanks- I think I'm really after a small and handy program that'll just grab the audio.

I've just tried a program CDDA with GUI from Aminet, but it didn't want to play at all.  :(
