Just got my floppy from Software Hut with DiskSalv4, and can't seem to run it on my machine. Every time I select any of the partitions, choose FFS as file system, and try to do Check, the computer reboots. My FFS is 43.20 version. To make sure that it's not the version, I just changed it back to 40.1 (the original from 3.1 disks) but it didn't do anything...
My setup is:
Amiga 2000, GVP '030/50MHz, CyberVision 64/3D, CGX4.2
12Mb FAST, 2MB MiniMegi Chip, 880Mb Quantum SCSI-2 HD
Any help would be appreciated!!

BTW, I reinstalled DiskSalv2, and it runs fine. It also shows the bitmap as valid, whereas DiskSalv4 shows it as invalid....

I have DS4 on amiga repair cd, but must say mostly I used DS2 as it has the validate option to make the repair a little faster than a full repair. And it mostly did what I expected. I remember once that I skipped DS4 from its job as it was "pruning" the second day...

I have DiskSalv Version 2 (r11.32) ®1991-1994 Dave Haynie.
Was there a DiskSalv 3? I find this program an essential safety precaution that everyone should have.
Pity RDBSalv is not fully functioning without a key... but that's another author.

I think DS 3 was also on the repair CD, probably it was short-lived before DS4 came out.
