I knew about the offical A1500's ... mine went *BANG* long ago ... but never seen or heard of a 'Checkmate' machine until today.

I had one of the Checkmate cases for some time.
I installed a Zorro slot into it also.
Was nice for as long as it lasted.
I used it until I got my hands on a second hand A2000.

The A1500 from Commodore was only released in the UK and was a marketing exercise to kill the Checkmate 1500 machine.

Must have worked then, as only about 400 Checkmate machines were ever sold
