$700???

Thats not all. Notice the other auctions too. Would you pay $500 for a cardboard display box (rather ratty looking)?
:rtfm:  :insane:
-
It's Ryan Czerwinski's (sp?) mum, enough said.
-
Integrated keyboard
96 keys
10 function keys
Numeric keypad
Cursor keys (inverted T layout)
:-? "cursor keys (inverted T layout)" :-?
That's quite unique among Amigas - he forgot to mention it runs on electricity too...
-
They are insane!I paid 275 USD for NOS Magic Pack in the box.
-
Well, obiously 275 $ is a common price. (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330078733738)
Damn, I wish I had bought some more of those a few years ago when Vesalia had them for about EUR 100,- :boohoo:
-
:roflmao: And what I like
Amiga 1200 Magic Pack Computer MIB NOS Never Been Opened! This computer has been stored in it’s original box since the day it was manufactured.
It comes with a ONE YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY !
So who going to honour that Warranty :roflmao:
I think they need :smack: :whack:
-
Hey! Chubbyrain get one here (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=305¤cy=USD&osCsid=6bb2fac0fdcbf3605305453a2fe69b88) for a fair enough price :-D
-
Thats not even NTSC I bet! Can you say Rip OFF?
-
I really hope nobody buys it at that price!
It's not even a real C= model!!!
- Ali
-
Thanks for the link to Amigakit. Very tempting, except the postage from dear old Blighty to here would be hefty I imagine.
As for 'Dragonlady' (is this really a dragon's horde on sale here?) I am almost tempted to send her a message offering $100 for that A1200.
-
Hey mate, what about my one?
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26815
It can be your with all equipment I have for just 200 pounds.
-
TjLazer:

it is you chose how you want it!
-
That's a nice one Czarek. However, postage to CA coupled with the strong pound against the weak dollar would probably push the total cost over $400 which is too high for me. If I was still in the UK however, I'd probably take you up on your offer.
I did send a message to 'Dragonlady' and she claimed that she has already sold one of her 'warranty' 1200s at $699. I suspect that's an untruth but if not, I want to know who paid that much as I have a bridge I'd like to sell them.
-
Allright... So how much could you offer for it?
-
Isnt that the same seller that was selling Amiga porn a while back? :-o
-
$699, LOL, ROFL, ohh the sillyness. I offer $120.
-
Damn idiots.. I guess it is the people behind merlancia again? I can swear i recognize the name from before.. Sadly some idiots must be buying these, as they seem to just raise the price every damn time.

So going by whats above ... that particular nasty site closed long ago and good riddence!
BUT ... judging by the Ebay auction it would seem they are back :madashell:
-
Doesn't AmiKit.com have them for a decent price?
-
I seem to remember this seller having a Blizz 1230 mk 4 for sale at some ridiculous price ($300 or thereabouts) - never sold if I remember rightly. Month after month it kept appearing. Guess (s)e never learns.
-
UPDATE: It Sold (speechless)
-
Yeah You guys all missed the point.
NEVER BEEN OPENED!!
that alone is worth the asking price.

You are nuts! I would rather pay $275 USD for one that was opened once by the store owner than to pay $700 USD for one that was never opened.

Never mind that, I wonder how the "It comes with a ONE YEAR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY !" will help it sell
-
honestly, the term "retarded" comes to mind.
NEVER BEEN OPENED, maybe it does not work? maybe some people like to toss there money out the window....
-
I'd like an A1200 but not at this price!
And I want a Ferrari but not at that price  :-P
-
Never being opened hardly maters. It just means in mint condition. This is a mass produced consumer electronic product, not a Stradivarius. Not rare and not even the 'first edition' model. Hardly worth paying $500 more for the honour of opening the box. If you are not going to open the box then it's a brick. If you do open the box and it doesn't work then it's also a brick.
A sealed Amiga 1000? I would say that would be more like it, being the first Amiga and all, but this?
Still more power to the seller as they found someone foolish enough to pay and that means inflated prices for everyone else.
-
Some nuff nuff bought it....fools and their money!
