Title: It's been a long time...
Post by: L337Koil on January 30, 2007, 09:37:04 PM
My name is Erick and I'm an adict. I used to use Amiga computers exclusivly. Unfortunately they break after a while. About 12 years ago my Amiga 4000-030 kicked the bucket when it's hard drive failed and I found the floppies corrupted. It got put into storage and was lost in a fire. A couple months ago I found one at a yard sale in the free box. It doesn't have a face plate or a memory battery but the memory and processor daughterboard are in tact. It posts and I am absolutely chomping at the bit to get another copy of Workbench. As soon as I get my hands on that I'm sure the adiction will return. Yeak, I tried Cloanto but it just wasn't the same.

Welcome to Amiga.org!

I'm sorry your A4000 kicked the bucket but as soon as you can get a CD-ROM drive in your new machine you can try out AmigaOS 3.9!

@Erick

Where are you posting from?  There are dealers in Europe and the US that can get you what you need but the problem is getting a working boot disk so you can mount the CD-Rom filesystem to access the later versions of AmigaOS.

@Erick: welcome to A.Org!

Hope you get your A4K up and running, and hopefully find a new faceplate for it!
