Yahay!
After being messed around for almost three months and not having a job, I finally got a payslip today.
I was watching my funds dwindle, dudes.
But now I got some bucks, probably the best pay I have ever got for a week's work. Unfortunately this is a short term contract, but I have new respect for having a job that pays.
Jobs are not as easy to come by as they were a few years ago. So if you got it, enjoy it and be a grateful fukka like me!

I never knew it took that long to make pr0n movies... :-P
-
Just dont do what I do, ie. get paid, spend stupid ammounts of money on my Amiga and Mac then realise you have some more unimportant things to consider like food and bills ;-)
-
I haven't had a paycheck since about October either. And I don't expect the next one before next November or so. Being a student does that to you =).
-
I haven't had a pay cheque since December, thats the price of being a contractor, next one should be here in a month.

Edit: that's why they got me for this film. Because last time they used you, but could only get 2 minutes of filming done :-P

@ all you others who haven't been paid:
I feel your pain.
It sucks big time.
I must say I went through a stage when jobs were good, where I bought quite a few things for the Amiga (things I had always wanted back in the 90s, but couldn't afford).
Now I have most of them, and I am just going for little items now. I don't have much time to use the Amiga though, so some projects have ground to a halt (such as the new case design for my A4000T).
Once I get a permanent job I can get back to that.

Sorry, I misread the title of this thread.
I assumed that it was IAMA with something to celebrate.

I think the money's travelling in the wrong direction for that. ;-)
I got my first pay in a while today, which is great but I owed so much money in rent and things that I'm still skint.

:roflmao:
I guess that even if *he* paid, he'd still not manage what you are alluding to.
Nobody needs money that desperately.

I think PMC meant 'At last I got laid'

I am working as a software developer since last May. When I got the job offer, my boss promised me a 100 euro raise on my salary, beginning with the new year. I really don't want to find myself "reminding it" to him tomorrow!
-
No, after all I will be put in the awkward position of stepping to my bosses office and asking for the raise he promised me! Guys if I am allowed to give a single piece of advice, you should never, NEVER work as programmers (software developers, engineers, data architects and the names go on forever) for ppl who don't have the faintest idea of what these things are all about. :-x

Get your money, dude. He promised.
