And I don't care that non-Australians don't celebrate Australia-day this long-weekend!

Kinda like your 4th of July, only we don't get to play with our own fireworks (they are outlawed). As patriotic as I am, I really don't get into the celebrations, mainly because we can't blow things up :-P

You lucky b@stards. Do you have any idea how infuriating it is to have to put up with fireworks every night for a fortnight either side of Guy Fawkes night, Christmas and New Year? Would it be so much to ask for people to maybe have all their fireworks displays on the same night so we don't have to listen to them going off for 4 f*cking weeks at a time? :madashell:

Lucky bugger - fireworks round here usually start at the end of September and last until the end of November.
Then there's the odd days during christmas before the new year rush and the post hangover celebration aswell.

Sorry dude, but I quite enjoy letting off the occaisional cracker. You can buy them (illegaly) however they are quite difficult to come by. It just erks me that I can't have any fun because a few silly {bleep}s decided to let one off in their hands, just "to see what happens".

I wish a few more people would do that over here.
Actually, lets make it a requirement for all the chavs to do that :-D

You could always actively encourage that :-P

Tell that one to my neighbours... I'm kinda hoping to see body parts tonight. It'd put an end to strings of fireworks going off outside my house at 4am.

I was out yesterday; it wasn't just pay-day, the company I work for had contestants in a "corporate rock contest". "We" won, but there is a slight chance we celebrated a bit to hard. :pint:
Note to self: NEVER drink another Long island ice tea!
Anyway, I'm off to work now.
