I'm so glad I got outbid on that A4000T.  I would much rather have this.  Let's hope though I can stick to my budget.  Wait, no, that would *require* getting outbid..

Since this is one of the few (very few) models I do not have in my collection, and you are in my area where I can pick it up instead of paying shipping charges, I will most likely bid on this item.

Please explain to me why you write in the ebay auction that you can't find the mouse or keyboard to test more fully when right here on Amiga.org your signature clearly shows that you have multiple Amigas that you could easily borrow a mouse and keyboard from to do more testing.  It really raises doubts about the condition of the A3000T when an experienced Amiga user with multiple Amigas writes something like that and does not completely test a computer when they can easily do so.

Please don't be offended, but I really want to bid with confidence about what I am bidding for and I see no reason why you can't complete the testing since you have other A3000T's to borrow the needed mouse and keyboard from.

Forgive my assumption that this A3000T was yours.  I just realized that you may be just bringing this auction to our attention and you may have nothing to do with this seller.

Cool, this auction will give me an idea what mine is worth. I purchased it new, and right now it is still in the factory packing cartons:-D  I'll get all my Amigas set up one day soon and take some pictures.

Good Luck to the new owner. I'll be watching this one too.

Jeff

Does anyone recall what one of the latest 3000t's went for on ebay? This one looks pretty nice. I Wish I could get this one for less than $600. I would like to get the dragon for the 3000 when they come out. I don't know why, but I love the 3000 towers. They is Groovy.  :-D

I wonder if it is a high density floppy or not. I have heard they had both. Mine both are HD drives. I think I will ask. Thanks for the link

My 3000T is a little bit nicer than that one. He has a discolored 3.5" slot cover. :P And it's not miltary grade! (sorry I had to say it)

If someone did, then I got undercut!
Actually, I doubt that happened considering the way bidding was going.

I doubt that some one undercut any one on this auction.  The fact that the listing does not even exist any where means either e-Bay did not like something with this listing or some lamer complained to e-Bay that there is something wrong with this listing.  If this was an off to the side deal, the seller would have ended the listing, or the guy has not been paying his e-Bay bills and all his auctions have been removed, other wise the listing would still be in the system some where.

I emailed the seller and she said ebay canceled the ad because the search title included /not 4000/. How lame is that, it is not a 4000. thats just nuts. So she wants to get a little more  search coverage. Thats crappy of ebay. She said she will relist.

Finally!

The A3000T is the last classic I wanted to complete my collection

I think I'm done now with getting more classic Amigas, so the rest of you can bid without fear of me trying to snipe it away from you in the last seconds.  :-D

I will be working on setting up, upgrading and enjoying my collection over the rest of this year and probably be selling a few duplicate systems, parts and duplicate software titles and magazines toward the end of 2007, so I can save up for the next generation of Amiga hardware that should be ready for purchase by June of 2008 with AmigaOS 5.0 coming out about 18 months after that.  Then I will only have to wait another short 9 months for a decent web browser to be released for AmigaOS 4 and/or 5 so I can finally see websites designed in 2005 correctly on an Amiga native web browser.  I can't wait!

But the best news is yet to come as Amiga users finally have new (?) hardware and a modern (?) OS and web browser to use, the RED and BLUE camps of developers will finally give up their fighting and join forces in 2011 to write code for the remaining 15 Amiga users left in the world.   :boohoo:

(Sarcasm added for humorous effect, for those who don't know me)

A3000T............. Can't wait to pick it up!  Maybe I should bring help to lift it considering my current health and the considerable weight of what is likely to become my favorite Amiga model.

2 - A1000, 2 - A500, 1 - A600, 2 - A2000, 3 - A3000D, 1 - A3000T, 3 - A4000D (2 in towers), 1 - A4000T, 2 - A1200, 2 - CDTV, 2 - CD32.  Total= 21 Amigas  I had better keep an eye open over my shoulder for those guys in the white jackets.

Dude, is it realy worth that much?   I got a 4000t with ppc AND cybervisionPPC for LESS than that.  The 3000 tower is a nice box I guess as good as any amiga but with out AGA alas.

I used one of these 3000towers back in the mid 90's to do news graphics with scala....live... never crashed, execpt that one time when I needed to know that happend when you turn the key counter clock wise...reset...interesting.

Due to location, and rarity of this particular model in good condition, YES!  It was worth it to me to complete my extensive collection.  Shipping for a computer tower the size of an A3000T is expensive.  That coupled with the fact that it has a decent size HD with OS3.9 already installed will save me some time and it does have the high density floppy drive that I often see people trying to sell for $70 to $100 alone.

I am not crazy about the price, but believe that the auction would have come close to that amount and I have seen them go for even higher when you get a couple of collectors trying to bid on the same item.

Really, the location, condition and the fact that the A3000T is hard to find, made it worth the price TO ME!

Just hope the seller packs it well, there's always the fear of recieving it with the front bezel smashed to pieces
Recieved one of my Micronik towers in that state

Dave:

I love my A3000T even over my A4000T. I think it the best tower Amiga ever built. The only problem I've ever had with mine was the power supply. Enjoy.
