Dear Amiga users,
Does anyone know what the latest game was that has been produced for the Amiga?
Even the games that have been made to run on Amiga like quake3 the arena.
I am asking, as I am very eager to find out what the last newest game was to be made to run for Amiga, and that was made for Amiga.
What would be the newest game for the Amigaos4?
Also, while im here, MYST, man, oldskool game, but still has relatively good graphics considering when it was made.
Ok
Cheers

Really? I have no information to disprove your statement, but would be very surprised if there aren't any games that were released after 1999 for the Amiga, eventhough there have not been any new classic Amigas since, what, 1995 or was it 1996 from ESCOM.

Total Chaos AGA v6
Was released 24th of december.
Best turn based game ever imo!
-
You should visit the "Hall Of Light"
2005 saw the release of "Desert Racing of Bardos"

QUESTION:
Are you pulling my leg on this one? Amiga wouldve produced various games after this date, even I would think this, anyway, two others, Total chaos and Desert racing seem to have been made in more recent times.

I have gone to this website before, although I cannot say I had managed to find any games that were made in 2005 that had new type Amiga graphics.
Also, it seems Total Chaos was made in 2006 december 24th, is that right!
OK.
Anymore websites to go to for the newest in software and programs? 8-)

Relax dude...It was only a joke! ;-)

Also don't forget Mr Bean Bag (http://www.glastonbridge.co.uk/mrbeanbag/) Well should be released very soon for AGA machines .
-
Mr Beanbag looks like a platform game, similar to giana sisters perhaps?
I was more after games that would be more like MYST or something but somewhat more detailed in graphics, although MYST was awesome for its time.
Also, I like the classic Dungeon Master.
Anyway, Looks like there are various new games that have been made, some with oldskool graphics, and others with newer graphical interfaces, for the more modern Amigas.
All In All, I still wouldnt mind more good links and sites for this. Even ones whereby you may need to pay for the game, I really dont mind, if its in support of the Amiga.

There is a french site which is always show the top ten amiga games of the past years. I checked the list of 2006, but most of all i didn't heard about.

The latest game produced for Amiga O.S. 3.x was "The Jerk".
Are you talking about commerical games? Because i clearly recall that there was a few game releases in 2006.. There is even a commerical game in developement that runs on a bog standard a1200 which has had some demo being released for it not so long ago.

It's not recent but it was recently released for free and definitely myst-like: Labyrinth of time. Get it from Aminet.

You could check out www.amigaflame.com

(smiles)
Curious, although that was a joke, what I wouldnt mind knowing is, if you know of any other sites wheerby one can download the games, or where they have newer ones also?
Cheers 8-) 8-)
P.S.I am currently also looking for the classic Light Corridor.
P.S.S.I am also really aspiring for some nice Software, be it art, lightwave type, or just Design. Ive looked at a few, but I was wondering If you or anyone here could suggest some good ones to use?

If you're looking for a real good 24bit picture
and anim program, you can download it for free:
PerfectPaint (http://gothic.fr.free.fr/amiga/download.html)

Mr. Beanbag looks and plays WAY better than Giana Sisters. You couldn't think of a newer, better game to compare it to? Looks more like Sonic if anything.
-
Its not the newest Amiga game but it's fun for all ages and runs on a stock A2000. It's called "Baiting Doomy" and you don't need to port OS4 to the PS3 to give it a whirl!
whee!

Well if you are speaking about commercial games; "Desert Racing of bardos" - The latest commercial release. Other commercial games for the classic last years; Crossfire II, Feeble Files, The and Tales Of Tamar.
If you count in Morphos - You can add; Robin Hood and Airport Tycoon and Knights of Merchant to the list.

Hey!! even msx 8 bit computer got more new (MSX only) games than Amiga :madashell:
-
I think that Desert Racing of BarDos is the latest commercial game developed for Amiga. It was released late 2005 IIRC.
There have been more recent commercial releases for MorphOS. Like Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood at the end of the 2006 and Airline Tycoon DLX in 2007.
Then there's always new PD games and open source ports, but who can count all of them :)
I wouldn't count Myst as oldskool game.. at least in Amiga standards. I'd say it's one of the first newschool games for Amiga :)
