Title: wanted for the kids
Post by: ElZorro on January 21, 2007, 04:07:45 PM
I have an A1200 with an internal and external HD, a Phase 5 board + Scsi.
I use it to make music, but since a couple of years my kids like her to!.
They like to play the fun games like Pinball and Giana Sisters. The disk (the only one I had) of Giana Sisters stopt working.

Does any one have a working game of Giana Sisters?
Can he or she make a copy for me (lha format welcome!) and mail it to me? I looked thrue the internet for a downloadable file, but not that I can find any! Doe you know a site which can provide suchs games?? Free...ofcourse!

I will make it work on my Miggy again and you make my kids happy!

looking forward to your reactions,

ElZorro

't Is the rules of the land that say it isn't allowed to ask for copies of software, how abandonwarish they might be. Sad,  but true.

I think I got an HD-installed version from Ancient Toys, they are down at the moment though.  I got the game to run but was unable to play it.
As far as I know Ancient toys only hosted stuff that was approved by the author/publisher.  You might be able to find it elsewhere.

i thought giana sisters was forced off the market due to it being a ripoff of mario brothers.

Funny, I was thinking about this, this morning, when I was downloading some stuff after a reinstall. :-)
Many, or at least some, games (not sure about the Giana sisters) are legally availible from web sites, that have permission to spread those games. Would it be against the forum rules to refer to those sites(whatever happened to back2roots, BTW)?

Wasnt giana sisters made public domain? There absolutely no rules against asking for software or games that are infact legally free and i think we should make that clear.

Ah, that could be. I just assumed Giana Sisters was still 'commercial'.

@whabang:
Yeah, whatever did happen to BTTR :(.

That is'nt a legal site, maybe you might want to edit it out from your post incase one of the big bad moderators come and rips you a new A :)

I was thinking maybe its time that we had a forum post of legal sites that people are able to obtain replacements of there old floppys?  just an
