Wow, I wasn't quite expecting a thread :-D
You're welcome. Enjoy.
-
Karlos Rules...
We're a' doomed! :nervous:
-
@Vincent
I never knew you were Frasier from "Dad's Army"!
Explains a fair bit, like... :-P

Without a doubt, Karlos is the avatar king.
-
What about my avatar?
Its the most hideous picture I've ever seen...
-
That's Karlos's girlfriend, that is.
-
Actually, I think you'll find... not :-P

What about Blobrana?
Anyhow, there have been a lot of imaginative avatars here over the years from a lot of different people. It's just that I'm sad enough to have a page for mine
-
@ Costabunny
Check out the Professor F J Lewis thread, to see where all these insults originate from.
-
@ Karlos
Ja, I like Blobzie's stuff too (there was one really hideous one and I begged her to remove it, which she thankfully did). But the others are good.
But, old bean, your avatars take the biscuit.
-
@X-Ray
So, where's your avatar? No voice, no avatar, no real name data, nada, nill....
Not a troll, are you?

I think from the "milky milky" remark it's more than clear she knows already :-D

"...So, where's your avatar? No voice, no avatar, no real name data, nada, nill...."

Yes, I am a troll.
Please feed me.
I like Brussels sprouts, liqourice, biltong, and Blobzie on rye :-P
-
Only a troll would like those dirty little green fart eggs...
-
Cheers for giving us a link :-)
That 'BOTHERED-O-METER' has tickled me

How dare you describe Blobzie thusly?
How very dare you, sir!

Spot on mate, spot on!

Nice avatar Karlos, although given the choice between being force fed sprouts, or being forced to spend an hour in the company of the subject of Cyberus's avatar then I'd be hard pushed to pick the more hideous option.
One's clearly a vegetable, offending many with its foul rankness and is utterly incapable of performing a complicated task, like writing a book for example.
The other is guaranteed to provoke bouts of extreme flatulence.

hmmm, I seem to be the only person here who LIKES Brussel Sprouts!
But with me, it's genetic. I just can't help myself. I love Belgian chocolates, Belgian beer and Sprouts. With no ill effects.

Nope, I love it too. With walnuts, it's yum!
But I think the British habit of cooking everything 'till it's liquid is a factor

Yup, I can't stand it like that either, you might as well serve up a plate of hot soggy bog roll cos it tastes and feels the same.
Dunno why, but I always get funny looks from people when I tell them I love eating raw brussel sprouts. Viva la chou de bruxelles
-
My mum used to boil the veggies into oblivion, much to my annoyance. Bizarrely I'll eat cabbage, runner beans, cauliflower, broccoli etc raw or lightly steamed.
I'd gladly donate my quota of sprouts to la cecilia, especially if she can consume them with no ill-effects.
Besides, I can forgive her sprout-loving in view of the fact that cece appreciates chocolate and good beer.

I beleive you are correct!! it might be futile to post Recipes (http://recipes.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Category:Brussel_Sprout_Recipes) since boiling water seems to be a trial, oh well. :-)
and thanks to the Grammer Police - spelcking is not my forte

Just as interstellar gas and dust gradually falls inward to its centre of mass until it eventually forms a star and protoplaneray disc, so all the worst farts emitted by all organisms with a gut, great and small, gradually coalesce into the obscene green nodules that lay seige to otherwise perfectly delicious Xmas dinners everywhere...

Plus she's evidently not racist, given her fella's green :-D

Given that sprout season is well and truly over, I've changed mine to another pet hate
-
hehe
Shouldn't you change it from 'we are your leaders now' to 'I was your leader for ten years, because you voted for me'
:-P
-
Probably. Except I didnae vote for the fecker
Well, I did the first time :-/
-
@ Chris et al
So it had the desired effect then? I thought it was one of the most hideous images ever to grace my computer screen, and unbearable to look at for even a moment...so I thought I'd inflict it upon a few other people! :-D
Now you're all suitably traumatised, I'll change it :-)
-
I must admit, I prefer your old avatar.

It's no longer sprout season in that it's no longer the season where you are expected to eat sprouts in large family gatherings...

I still don't get why Brussel sprouts are connected to dark time festivities. Brits are strange people.

1. me neither.
2. yes we are!
actually, I guess its because one is already miserable with the lack of light, and being wet and cold, so why not compound it by eating nasty tasting pungent vegetables ?
-
 Yes, wallowing in misery sounds like a good excuse.

No, my Mum just decided it was less effort cooking one tiny little sprout less, than try to force me to eat it. I won, basically!

Simple. In order to demonstrate that we aren't collectively afraid of the darker time of year, we deliberately confront something much more sinister ...

If they don't, then their inevitable gaseous digestive byproducts certainly will ;-)
