I'm trying to use RDesktop on my A4000 to connect to a PC.
When changing the tooltypes for the "Living Room PC" - icon to my configuration and doubleclick it, I only get a black windows with a little bigger mousepointer. Nothing more =(
Also tried to download the GUI-MUI interface but when hitting the Connect-button nothin at all happens =( I placed the GUI-MUI in the same directory as RDesktop.
I downloaded an older version to see if it worked before making any donations for a newer version.

do you have xp-pro?
btw... there is a GUI for 68K?
-
Yes the PC itself has XP Pro and I can connect without problem with my other PC. The problem is somewhere on the Amiga.
Yes the GUI started on my 68k =)
-
ok but where have you got the 68K MUI GUI?
-
followed a link on www.hd-zone.com/rdesktop/rdesktop.htm

Thanks for the link! unfortunately i can't help not owning an XP pro version.
Is there any other way (xp wise) to get remote desktop on a plain XP SP2?
PS- erm ... legally of course! ;-)
-
Well you need in that case download a third-party software, unsure of the link at the moment, try to google it.

Thanks :-)

I know its off topic, but it is related - try vva; I used it to connect to my bro in NYC!

So I can then access the XP Pro PC without any additional software installed on it? As long as Remote management is activated?
-
No one using RDesktop here?
:-?
-
Not yet. I run a couple of Windows 2003 servers at home; I might this weekend try connecting to them. My regular use PC runs Vista; but haven't yet looked into if this has remote help/remote desktop....
