Title: Is Amiga OS 3.9 still being sold?
Post by: Starrfoxx on January 15, 2007, 02:10:58 AM
A week or so ago I remember seeing OS 3.9 for sale at AmigaKit (US store).  I don't see it anymore.  Is it completely out of stock now?  Is it worth getting (for now it would be used on WinUAE until I get a new Amiga built), or should I wait for the OS 4.0 which is stated to be in development for the classic Amigas?

OS 4.0 will only help you if you have a PowerPC accelerator card.

AmigaKit is actually based in the UK but sells internationally.  Vesalia (http://www.vesalia.de/e_os39.htm) (German seller) still has it in stock.

Software Hut (http://www.softhut.com/cgi-bin/test/Web_store/web_store.cgi?page=catalog/software/operating_sys/os39.html) here in the States sells both the 3.1 ROMs and the 3.9 CDs.
