Title: Reading CD's burned with a PC
Post by: mschafe on January 09, 2007, 03:12:20 PM
I'm having a small issue that maybe someone can help me with.  I'm trying to transfer some files over to my Amiga (Running 3.1) using a CD I burned on a PC.  The Amiga can read the disk fine, but the file names are truncated.  I have a script i'm trying to run that requires finding the full file name.  When I read the CD on the PC, the long file names are there.  Whats the proper way to burn a disc so the Amiga can read it correctly?

What CD filesystem are you using on the Amiga?

AsimCDFS V3... anyways, I think I may have figured it out.  There was a different mode I had to select in Nero, which seems to have done the job.

Would you post what you changed the mode to in case others have the same problem, please?

In Nero, you have to select ISO Level 2 when creating a new CD.  I actually found out through a quick search that this info is buried elsewhere on this board also.
