Hi all,
I own some of the later Amiga PPC games such as Shogo & Heretic II but no longer have hardware to run them. I was wandering if these games can be run on Amiga OS 4.0 successfully? I am hoping the Samantha board will be available soon and licensed for OS4.0 so I will be able to play the games again. Any advice apreciated.

I have both Shogo and Heretic II but unfortunately they don't work on AmigaOS 4. Shogo worked to some degree, but not properly. Heretic II freezes the system at startup. I heard there are AmigaOS 4 patches for these games, but I can't register them on the Hyperion's site - it rejects my serial numbers for some reason, so I don't know if patches are available in the drawers there.

Hi, that's strange that your S/N is rejected, email them.
I tested these games on MorphOS PowerUP with success.

I've only tried the demos (from old AF cover CDs) -
the Shogo demo wouldnt start at all, but HereticII works using the Software Renderer. this was some time ago, I havent tried it for a while - the Radeon/Voodoo 3d hardware renderer may be running now.

That sounds like me, trying to reg my old copy of Shogo, main reason seems to be that the serial code on the box is for a Mac :-o I know that it runs on my A4000PPC but can't get the patch to run it on my MicroA1
Luckily I'm No good at games anyway, ........Unless its Involving the G/F  :-D
