Post by: costabunny on January 02, 2007, 07:14:01 AM
Just got my Amiga Forever download (only cost £21) - started it up and lovely it seems- tho having rebooted my VM (a 64bit fedora running an smp folding client on my win32 box, i forgot the mounted cdrom for the vm is my virtual drive that the AMF disk is mounted in) - went to login to the vm and got the emulated amiga on an emulated linux setup = still running smooooth - wow cool accident - might have to mess with that later...

Translation: leaving the Amiga Forever CD in a machine (virtual or real) whilst rebooting will cause an emulated Amiga environment (KXLight) to load. It can be a bit of a shock if you're not expecting it!  :-)

must admit it was kinda cool - still the emu box is now a dedicated athlon pc (which i guess will be dumped back to a linux box when my actual amiga arrives)
