Hi all
I am finally back on the Amiga scene
quick intro; am living in Gibraltar now, but was an original Amiga nut. Started with a vanilla A500 (with the footprints). Had an A2000, A1000, A1200 and several A600 doorstops...
am just buying an A1200 inna tower with an accelerator and am looking forward to getting some retro time in as well as using my Ami for some R&R. My love is PC's nowadays but I miss the love I had for the Amiga.
Will be looking out for med mods too (please has anyone got a library of old Amiga Computing cover disks as theres a mod called pipes that I dearly love)???
Blazemonger fan big style (in fact I was one to introduce all my amiga friends to the AUI world when they were still lamers reading AF) ....
looking forward to some fun times ahead..
Rachel

Welcome to Amiga Org :-)
-
Yes!
More Amiga girls are needed!
Bring your mates, convert them, let them see the way of the Amiga.
Welcome, ja.

Hi Rachel,
Welcome back.
I do have a pile of coverdisks in the loft but I am currently one pair of ladders down so am unable to check what's there right now.
-
@ Rachel
A big welcome back. I agree that more girls should be told about the amazing Amiga. I believe Amiga actually means 'female friend' in Spanish. We also have chips called Alice, Lisa and Denise of course :-)

Welcome to Amiga.Org
Amiga Computing magazine you say...
Thats a shame...
I left my entire collection of Amiga Computing Mags in the Kitchen at Big Bash 1
Brenda threw them out.
If it was on an AUI disk I might well have it though.
AUI was my fave Mag
-
btw...
When Dying Swan returns we'll know Amiga is Baaaaaaaack !!

Hi, welcome to Amiga.org.
If you go to www.aminet.net you will find lots of software (including mod files) free for downloading.
Good luck with your new setup.
Regards
Rich
PS - is that pipes from the boing collection (http://aminet.net/mods/boing/pipes.dance.lha) by any chance?
PPS - you can play this on your PC (if your Amiga has not yet arrived) using Deliplayer available here (http://www.overfiles.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=9&lid=1221).

I'm usually a non-posting lerker.. but another Amiga user in Gib is amazing! I live La Linea, but if you ever need a hand give me a shout. :)
Cheers,
Daniel

wb Rachel,
Can you remember what else was on the Amiga Computing cover disk you're looking for, ie. the featured app/game? I've got a few and may be temtped to crank up one of my Amys if the disk is in my collection.
Sean.

Welcome to A.org :-D
If you mean "Pipes of Lost Time", someone asked for that a while ago and I uploaded it onto my server - grab it from http://www.amigacentre.co.uk/files/SFX.pipes (you may need deliplayer (http://www.deliplayer.com/) or similar for a PC to play that).
-
Welcome!
But...A500 with footprints? Huh?

Check out ModArchive (http://www.modarchive.com/) and SceneMusic (http://www.scenemusic.net/), there's tons of mods there. ModArchive also offers torrents of the entire content. 13 GB of mods - it's a LOT. Bet you'll find many classics there. :-)
-
Welcome.
I'd be careful if I were you, a lot of the guys round here don't get out much, and just the mention of a girl gets their pulses racing, let alone one who owns an Amiga! ;-)

wow - they don't do it like this anymore :(
Playing now with Deliplayer until my Ami arrives next month
Thanks soooo much x x x

Interesting, got a pic somewhere of these footprints on the mobo?
