OK Alexa stats are off the charts for amiga sites...
its cool we are represented so well, and now, even
retail sites could show up in the list, but I still
am too lazy to research every single site, so I limited
this to only news or rumour sites, amiga related.
again read up at alexa on how its calculated.
1 week average is the last week. 3 month average
is the last 3 months including this past week. Lower number is better.
1 week
1. Amiga.org 15,324
2. Amigaworld.net 24,396
3. Ann.lu 32,518
4. flyingmice.com 37,843
5. Amiga.com 39,211
6. Amiga-news.de 115,905
7. Morphzone.org 133,019
*flyingmice is moobunny
3 month
1. Amiga.org 62,415
2. Ann.lu 123,991
3. Amiga.com 126,349
4. Amigaworld.net 138,142
5. Flyingmice.com 159,389
6. Amiga-news.de 789,926
7. Morphzone.org 818,721

Cool!
how are we (AO) doing compared with OSnews.com ?
-
beat osnews for the 1 week:
osnews.com 16,822
way behind on the 3 month:
21,860
while of course its neat that amiga.org beat osnews.com for the week, the weekly stats tend to vary a bit, going up and down....
after amiga.org's 3 month stats begin to take into account all the recent alexa activity..and things average out a bit...then it will be a real horse race, thats for sure...osnews.com is generally trending upwards over the past 6 months.
Will be interesting to see, about a month or two from now.
by the way, my predictions for what it will look like...in 2 months.
and doesn't everyone love a top 5 list prediction...lol
1. amiga.org solid 1st as always, even edging out osnews.com
2. amigaworld.net solid 2nd
3. ann.lu solid 3rd
4. amiga.com....they are the trickiest to place, they could continue their slide and be 5th....or they could be 1st, in theory...I'll say they do enough to partially reverse their slide..

where are you looking at this data, do you have a precise URL? I looked on their site but can't find this specifically. . .?

Uhm, this sin't the same evil Alexa crap that gets embedded in IE that I keep having to remove for our customers at work is it? You know, the kind of plugin that adaware would uninstall for you...

Cool! It's awesome that the Amiga related sites are getting attention now. I'm thrilled that MZ managed to make your list.
Now, we all have to work harder to move OUR catagory up in the list
-
Hmmm somehow I don't get this ....
This is a statistic about how many Win/IE-users vistit Amiga-related
site (or am I mistaken ?), so ....
WHO GIVES A FLYING F*** ??? :-o
-
@Kronos:
But, I don't want to come out of my little fantasy!

These statistics are in no way representative, I am afraid.
Last time I heard, www.amiga-news.de was BY FAR the biggest Amiga website. More hits than amiga.org and ANN!

@ Andre Siegel
These statistics are in no way representative, I am afraid.
I agree, with regard to websites not written in English, like for example German, French and Polish (for the Amiga market especially) the statistics are not at all representative.
Also websites receiving relatively many visits from visitors using operating system/browser combinations other than Windows/IE in reality receive alot more traffic in comparison to other websites than is being measured by Alexa. (I am sure Amiga websites receive relatively many people who dislike IE and Windows)
Regardless it's not hard to see that AO will be number uno for the forseeable future. Currently over 79 people are online! I believe this could easily skyrocket even further when AmigaOS4 is released. :-o
