Title: Amigaamp recoverable error
Post by: derringer3 on December 16, 2006, 04:06:16 PM
Hi all!

I have a problem:
When using amigaamp (v2.17, Powerup engine)
and quit then a yellow guru appears: Recoverable error, press right mb... and disappear. But when i use again amigaamp, then it is crash, and a black screen appears. Only option: reboot.

What cause this error?

If you're using OS3.9 with WarpOS (WarpUP) better use the WarpUP engine in AmigaAMP

the PowerUP engine needs PPCLibEmu if you don't have it installed yet (if you're using OS3.9 with WarpOS)

In the AmigaAMP "config" of course  ;-)

Right mouse click-pull down menu-PROJECT-CONFIG

I'm a noob. I used the amigaamp-prefs for it, and there is NO warpup engine. (auto-powerup-mpega-externel-and something for hardware)
In the configuration there is.

BIG THX.

Are you using OS3.9?

If that's the case you have not installed WarpOS from the OS3.9 cd since AmigaAMP cannot detect it

WarpOS (WarpUP) is a sort of driver for your PPC card

Forgot to add, do you really have a PPC card in your Amiga?  :-)

Yes i'm using OS3.9. It seems to be, that in my config there is a bppc, or something emulating 210MHz cpu card... :-D

Whoever now playing all the stuff without problem.
About warp install: since I recently bought this config, (A1200/Mediator/Voodoo/Bppc 210/68040/25)I never ever used any ppc related thing. So the things about warp-up, Warp-os, Power-up is a little bit confusing for me. And I'm sure i mixed some programs wich will surely won't like each-other.
