Hello......
Is anyone else interested in learning to program
in Blitz.
I'm looking for some help on a project I'm working
on to make the learning curve easier.
It isn't a fun job (its a drag) , but with a few people
working on it the faster it would get done.
I'm editing the BlitzList mail from the last 9 years
to make it readable and understandable.
Just about any question a beginner would ask
has been asked and answered in depth.
This stuff is a wealth of information for the beginner
and above.
Anyone interested please send me an EMail.

Cool. Is it an online project? If so, you should put the mails in a database and have some sort of PHP/ASP front end so you can do all sorts of queries and sort by category etc. etc.

Hi,
I got back into the Amiga at the beginning of the year, and Blitz was one of the things I was really into back when I stopped using the Amiga in '94. I remember, I spent the 70 quid or whatever on it (which was a lot of money to a schoolkid). I'd certainly be interested in any Blitz FAQs etc, but I don't have a huge amount of time to spare unfortunately...drop me a line and I should be able to help in some capacity.

Well .....
What I have is about 9 years of the BlitzList mail.
Most if not all is in AmigaGuide format.
What I am doing is cutting out the chaff.
There is a lot of quoting of prior messages.
I am cutting most of that out to make the messages
read like a conversation. Its a lot of work but in the
end it should be worth it.
Blitz is now AmiBlitz and is free. There is a group
that has been updating it for several years .
They still run the Blitz 2000 list and well worth
being on.
I am a beginner and I would rather have the
answers to my questions as fast as possible.
That's where all this blitz mail comes in handy
since most of the answers are already there.
It shouldn't take that long with several people
working on them and all will benefit.

has there been a upgade since 2.1 ?

Yes..Blitz is now at 2.3 something.
It has a new editor, more libs and new commands.
You can download it from the Blitz site.

hmm..sounds interesting.. I wrote quite a few things in Abasic, vb etc..I have a program that was written in Abasic that I'd like to rewrite and bring up to date..I'll check out BlitzBasic to see what it can do...MUI was one of my requirements I'd like to use.
