Title: Amiga Games Look so good in small display
Post by: fatboy on December 11, 2006, 05:47:59 PM
Is it just me or do 'OLD' Amiga games running on a small display (gameboy size?)look realy good?

When spending hours going through the games listed at Lemon Amiga I was thinking how good the game must look if it was playing on something like a PSP via emualation.

Surely a lot of Amiga classics are very well suited to handhelds?

I am suprised that no-one has designed a 'cheap' dedicated Amiga handheld (Sega did it,Sony did it, even atari did it!)

I know you have the GP32, GP2X, but I understand that it's not fully Amiga compatible yet.

Anyway if someone could come up with such a device.....can I have one  :-D

Yes, Amiga game graphics look amazing on a small screen (or displayed small on a large screen - like screenshots on a web site). If only the Nintendo DS was powerful enough to run UAE :-)

It's good, but UAE isnt quite full speed yet.  Some games still have choppy sound.  On the other hand some run almost perfectly like my fav; Ruff 'n Tumble.

UAE has been ported to the PSP. It still needs some work but is fun to play around with.
