Is it possible to watch YouTube videos using IBrowse?
Thanks in advance.
-
I doubt there is a Flash plug-in that is up-to-date enough to do that.
Just saw that Flash support isn't even in the current version (!).
-
Even if it was possible, I guess 680x0 hardware would be too slow to carry out the audio/video decompression and playback...

YouTube needs Flash 7. There's no Flash 7 player for AmigaOS.

Sure, youtube_downloader.lha (http://fabportnawak.free.fr/youtube_downloader.lha) (requires MPlayer, so it might not be that useful for m68k AmigaOS)

Can you watch the movies in your browser with this?

If you don't want to use the ARexx script, you can use this site (http://video.qooqle.jp/dl/), which lets you dowload the FLV file. I'm guessing there is a way to convert from FLV to a format which will play better on an Amiga?

FFMPEG maybe? x86 version of ffmpeg can convert FLV to MPEG or AVI, i don't know if Amiga version will do it.

Can you watch the movies in your browser with this?
Does it make a difference if it's a separate window or embedded in the browser?

Very..I can't live anymore if it's not in the browser
Just kidding :-P
As long as the movie is played when I click to view a movie it's enough for me

sure you can! (http://www.webalice.it/cieffeeditingvideo/mos/Panda.png) :-)

Very tempted to try that out on my A4000 too ;-)

theres a thread on AW.net that explain how...
you'll need:
a TCP/IP stack with TCP: handler
the scripts based on Fab (thamks Fab) original arexx script, available on OS4depot
MPlayer
and a lot of free time ;-)

Sounds complicated...or am I wrong? :-)

@Framiga
I wonder, is this somehow different than the archive directly from Fab's website? (See above) ;-)
-
totally different (if you look inside)
IIRC the one by Fab, downloads only the FLV file (that you can play with MPlayer then)
The one from OS4Depot, downloads and Play with Mplayer in one click.
Nothing versus Fab who is the most kind and helpful guy in the MOS world ;-) (IMHO)

No.. The AOS3 and MOS version lacks support for many codecs and can't do it.
